3rd March 2012 - ALUMNI MEET – 2012

Second Alumni Meet of Padmashree Dr.D.Y.Patil Institute of Management studies was organized on 3rd  March 2012 at Institute which was a perfect platform for the alumni to revoke Nostalgia and to reconnect .This was also a perfect setup for the existing students to meet and interact with their seniors and understand the challenges in the corporate world.

The meet was graced by the presence of Wg Cdr (Retd.) PVC Patil, Executive Director, DYPIMS, Prof. D. R. Karnure, Consultant Director DYPIMS; Dr. Rajesh Arora, Director and President DYPIMS-AA, Prof. Nandini Desai, Treasurer of DYPIMS Alumni Association. These dignitaries were seated on the dais along with two alumni. Over 35 alumni attended the meet from various parts of Pune and Mumbai.

The meet started with a welcome speech and   presentation   of the secretary report by Prof.Pooja Kohli, Secretary Alumni Association. Prof Nandini Desai presented the budget for the year financial year 2012-13 which was unanimously approved by the general body and then the house was left open for an interaction between the alumni and the present students of the institute.

Prof.Pooja Kohli proposed the vote of thanks and the meet concluded. This was followed by the cultural program of DYPIMS - Fusion 2012 and dinner.

2011More than just a meet


An Alumni Meet of Padmashree Dr.D.Y.Patil Institute of Management studies was organized on 5th March 2011 at Lekha Farm, Dehu Road which was a perfect platform for the alumni to revoke Nostalgia and to reconnect .This was also a perfect setup for the existing students to meet and interact with their seniors and understand the challenges in the corporate world.

The meet was graced by the presence of Wg Cdr (Retd.) PVC Patil, Executive Director, DYPIMS; Mr. Bharat Patil & Mrs. Richa Patil,Vice Presidents DYPIMS; Prof. D R Karnure, Consultant Director DYPIMS; Dr. J G Patil, Director and President DYPIMS-AA;, Prof. R V Hulyalkar, Director of School of Business Management and Prof. Ramagopal I., MBA Co-ordinator . These dignitaries were seated on the dais along with two alumni. Over 35 alumni attended the meet from various parts of Pune and Mumbai.

This was followed by short speeches by Alumni like Mr. Santosh Redekar (batch 2005-07), Ms. Sharmin Nivodia ( batch 2008-10), Hitesh Gandhi( batch 2007-09),Priya Nakil (batch 2008-10) and Royston Mendocca (batch 2007-09). The alumni were all praises for the learning and support provided by the institute during their two years of master’s program. Prof Nandini Desai presented the budget for the year financial year 2011-12 which was unanimously approved by the general body. This was followed by a short review of the Research Centre activity by Prof.Sibi Abraham and then the house was left open for an interaction between the alumni and the present students of the institute.

Prof.Tarunna Sharma proposed the vote of thanks and the meet concluded. This was followed by the cultural program of DYPIMS - Fusion 2011 and dinner.


Activities in DYPIMS as of 2009 - 10

Our alumni are spread not only in Maharashtra but also all over India. We plan to make it a platform to interact and keep abreast with the latest happenings in the DYPIMS family. More than 300 members have deposited their alumni membership fee. First alumni meeting and tea party of the year was held on 14th August 2009 with an attendance of approximately 60 students and new office bearers were nominated. Further activities planned are-Guest lectures, Industrial Visit, Out bound Training Programs, soft skills training and assistance in summer internship. We plan to introduce courses of varying durations and seminars that have corporate involvement.
