Col. (Dr.) Kailash Chand has 34 years of administrative and a managerial experience at a middle and senior level, besides 3 years of Academic experience as a Director in certain prominent management institutes.

Message

I am extremely proud of being a Director of one of the best management institutes of the country.

My first and foremost job is to prepare my students for taking on any kind of career related responsibilities and for that purpose I have to ensure the best of academic excellence. The best of the interactive sessions for teaching and learning should take place and the entire syllabus shall be covered properly through the power point presentations as per the guidelines of University of Pune.

Along with academic excellence, I will also ensure that the best of the personality development and grooming up sessions are run on regular basis to mould the students into top class professionals.

Another aspect where, I would be focusing my attention is the correction of the attitude of my students to enable them to understand the present day ground realities and to work hard with utmost loyalty and sincerity to carve a niche in their future careers.

Certain other areas where I would be focusing my attention is to discipline my students and to ensure proper etiquettes and morals in them to enable them to emerge as ultimate winners.

I also have a responsibility to run a very happy team of entire teaching and non-teaching staff.

The continuous up gradation of skills of every member of my team to perform their jobs to the best of their abilities would be my another focus area.

The taste of the pudding lies in eating it and that is why it is so essential to ensure best of placements for the maximum possible number of students after giving them the best of academic and professional training. This act of ours shall ensure that every student of ours walks out happily and satisfied.

The modern era believes in extensive advertising and marketing and that is why I shall focus on these aspects to highlight our professional deeds.

I am a bridge between my faculty and administrative staff on the one hand and management on the other and it is my responsibility to understand their respective aspirations and policies to create a very fine functional balance for long term sustainable growth of our institution.

Any pragmatic and forward looking Director has to do a crystal gazing to work out the long term strategies of growth and development of the institute and I shall work in very close conjunction with the management in this respect to expand in terms of our academic affiliations at the national as well as at the International level and to undertake every possible effort like obtaining of various kinds of accreditations from various statutory bodies etc.

Lastly I would say so proudly that Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Management studies, Pune (DYPIMS) has a perfect blend of top class infrastructure, top class faculty and administrative staff and top class management to emerge as one of the best management schools at the international level in the times to come. So let us all work together to excel in every respect by following a concept of joint responsibility and accountability.
