Reading Room







The library is housed in 238 sq. m. area. This area is divided into the Reading-hall, Browsing, Internet centre, Circulation, Periodical, Reference, Stack, Textbook, Issue/Return room section and Librarian’s desks.

Resources

The Library has a collection of over 8362 Volumes and 4778 Titles of various publications, which includes textbooks and reference books, covering a wide variety of subjects. It also boasts of 36 International and 31 National Journals. It has rich collection of about 38 Research and General Interest Journals on a wide range of subjects. It has subscribed to EBSCO E-Journal.

Special collection and Arrangement

A separate collection of book bank publication is displayed in the Stack section.

Automation

The Library is equipped with E-Granthalaya software and is integrated with the campus network. The reference collection of the library is continuously updated. Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) facility is available at the circulation desk at the entrance of the library.

Membership

Faculty members, research scholars and MBA students and administrative staff of the Institute, are eligible to become members of the library.

Rules and Regulations

1. Borrower’s tickets are not transferable.
2. Duplicate borrower’s ticket will be issued on the payment of Rs.50/-
3. Reader’s are required to deposit their belongings at the property counter before entering the Library.
4. Using mobile phones inside the library is strictly prohibited.
5. Necessary action will be taken by the Director against the users who are found to be misusing the facilities, book collection etc.
6. No outside/personal books are allowed in the stack section.
7. The Director may recall any book any time if required.
8. Silence should be maintained in the reading areas.
9. If a book is lost , the Director has the power to decide whether the book has to be replaced or a fine is to be paid by the borrower.
