WE BELIEVE IN CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT AND ELEVATION OF OUR STUDENTS THROUGH OUR PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAPSULE.

Objectives:

The PDC is designed to cater to the needs of all the students for their overall personality transformation. The main objective of the PDC is to elevate the employability of the students in the job market. Apart from the placement point of view, it is an effort to make each of our students a disciplined and responsible person with the right attitude.

 The entire PDC is divided into 11 modules which are conducted 6 days a week.

A combination of Internal as well as External Experts handle this capsule.

The PDC modules will ensure that the personality of our students is developed on the solid base of values and ethics, which will last forever.

The course will result in an overall feeling of being well and confident in our students. The students will have a charisma, a sense of power and confidence that will make them stand apart from the crowd.

The PDC sessions for MBA – 1st year has started from 31st July 2012 where the students are made aware about the relevance and necessity of grooming their personality as per industry expectations.

No. of Sessions covered in July – August 2012 are 24.

The Modules covered in the sessions are as follows;

On the spot speeches were conducted by dividing the students into small groups and making the students speak individually in front of the class. Students were evaluated on the following parameters during the same.

  Communication Skills

         Body Language

         Content

         Clarity of Thoughts

         Confidence

         Dress Code

Group Discussions were also conducted by dividing the students into small groups. They were asked to speak on various topics given to them by the faculty members.

The Session on Why MBA? focused on making the students understand the real meaning behind pursuing this professional course.

Business Quiz was also a part of PDC session which was conducted by all the faculty members in the groups of students made.

Presentations by students were made on various topics on which the faculties gave them suggestions for areas of improvement after each and every presentation.

Presentation Skills Session was conducted by Prof. Chandrashekhar Kalshetty.

News Analysis was an exercise undertaken to update students with the current affairs in the market. Students were given newspaper cutouts and have made presentations for the same.

We are very happy to announce the successful completion of the following modules in the PDC Sessions scheduled between July 2012 and August 2012 for the Second year students. The Institute is putting a continuous effort in grooming the students and making them aware of the expectations of the Corporates.

We have so far conducted the following Personality Development modules:

Our Director Col. ( Dr.) Kailash Chand has been a source of  inspiration for us to start this Personality Capsule and has been a continuous guiding force for giving us valuable inputs in conducting the various modules.

Non Verbal Communication plays an important role in the corporate world. Basically, it is one of the key aspects of communication (and especially important in a high-context culture).  It has multiple functions. The module was conducted by Prof.Taruna Sharma.

Academic Excellence provided opportunities for students to work together to improve their understanding of concepts in the academic core. Students were given insights of problem solving and collaborative learning strategies. The module was conducted by Prof. Nandini Desai.

Group Discussions and Extempore were conducted, a series of Group Discussion on various Economic and Current Topics. The module was conducted by Prof. Priyanka Mishra.

Self Development is a vital part in a person’s growth, maturity, success and fulfillment. It is the foundation of mature personality, better relationship, happiness, success and prosperity. The module was conducted with a combination of Goal Setting Exercises and Lecture sessions to understand the road towards growth. The module was conducted by Prof. Meenal Rao

Attitude towards Work was the module where students were given practical experiences regarding the work culture and expectations of the Corporates.The module was conducted by Prof. Pooja Kohli.

Entrepreneurship Development plays a very important role in the economic development. Entrepreneurs act as catalytic agents in the process of industrialization and economic growth. We want our students to get encouraged to think in this line. The sessions laid emphasis on Personality Traits of Entrepreneurs and also the qualities required for being an Entrepreneur. The module was conducted by Prof. Shilpa Kankonkar.

Case Studies have always been helping students to handle and analyze real life situations. Discussions of case studies are an integral part of the PDC. The sessions are conducted by Prof. Iftekar Khan.

Behavior Styles at Work has helped students to understand the difference between Aggressive, Assertive and Passive behavior. Role play was conducted in the class for students where students learned the various behavior styles at work. The module was conducted by Prof. Meenal Rao.

Business Quiz was also a part of the PDC session conducted by Prof. Sibi Abraham.
